What happens when Charles Schultz beloved “Peanuts” style cartoon is crossed with the baddest Motherf***ing shark to ever hit the big screen? Just remember to stay out the deep end! (Whomp, Whomp) *All puns intended*. Artist Charles Forsman puts a twist on the movie by putting Charles Schultz Peanuts in Steven Spielberg’s Jaws. Though he’s a fan of the Jaws novel at heart, Forsman icreated the movie’s scenes for fan familiarity. He has created seven strips in all depicting key moments from the film, and they have been collected on an 11×17 print that fans can pick up for $20 at his online store.

Patrick King’s Star Wars artwork takes on a religious tone with some traditional Christian symbolism you are sure to recognize. The costumed characters from the Empire’s ranks are shown in various interpretations of saints.
Of course, his TIE Fighter pilots and Scout Troopers seems to be equally beatified, so all of these sainthoods being passed around could confuse the Imperial military hierarchy. Then again, the Sith probably don’t recognize Catholic saints anyway.
While on comicsalliance.com today, I came across a post consisting of artwork by Dirk Eric Schulz. He is a 28 year old comic artist hailing from Germany. With an art style eerily similar to that of Jim Smith(Ren & Stimpy) his works are something to behold. Whats more great is the comical antics he uses in some of his pieces that is the setting or tone of the image. I also LOVE his use of nostalgic cartoon characters I grew up with. Take a look at his deviant art account here and treat your eyes to some amazing work. (Sigh) I need to start getting back into drawing for myself as well.
