GREAT SCOTT….  Oh man, if you love me, you’ll get this for me. I can’t believe it’s almost 2015. What’s more I can’t believe that the sneakers Marty Mcfly wore in Back to The Future II may actually be a reality to buy…. #ugh I want like 3 pairs for real. Here is Hypebeast is reporting it.

Following endless speculation about this week’s “secret” event going down in Los Angeles, Nike gives us an official teaser into the return of the Nike MAG, of course made popular by the Back to the Future film franchise. No further details are available but could this mean that the almighty Marty McFly petition finally worked its magic? Stay tuned for further news shortly.

Remember a while back when we said we were going to the Wiz Khalifa and Big Sean show in Central Park? Yea I know… you probably forgot. Sorry, thats how we do it over here. Extremely late responses, but I assure you it isn’t at all intentional. Sadly GKS alone doesn’t pay the bills right now, so we have to still work for “the man.” Our work schedules are crazy, so editing photos and documentation gets put on the back burner sometimes. So again sorry. But here is a Video we did in conjunction with the event. Enjoy and tell us what you think. (Sidenote: We still have to put up the pics as well… #ugh)

Who would’ve seen this coming to be honest. In reality it doesn’t seem like an issue or far cry at all. On one hand you have arguably one of our generations top producers and fashionista extraordinaire Pharrell Williams and on the other the powerhouse and one man machine that is Jay-z. The two have collaborated numerous times on projects, so why not invest and partner up on a project that could be groundbreaking. According to to GQ, Rocawear bought BBC clothing which resulted in Jay-Z taking to his twitter account to clarify.

After seeing this I went to various blogs to see what the people’s take on this event would be, and as anyone could guess the reaction was mostly negative. A good portion think that this move would result in BBC losing it’s “cool” and “hip” factor. I honestly laugh to myself when I see this and think why do we have this thought premonition? I mean believe me I know(it’s a rhetorical question). But in the sense, when brands get bought out or a collaboration is involved with a super big conglomerate company it is always as if it is destined to be a failure within the select community that appreciated it before. HaHa, hey maybe something cool will come out of it. In reality though prices aren’t going to change, Jay is just getting his hands in many things. The man is already making millions off of rocawear in some fashion, why not have money coming out of the streetwear “boutique” community as well. I don’t know if he personally knew his backing would have gotten this negative reaction it did though because everyone views him as a conglomerate for this situation. If Kanye partnered everyone would be excited because we all know Kanye to be stylish and has a more personal appeal, but Mr. Rocawear?

Whats most funny about these buyouts is, that most likely if they were kept secret no one would have any doubt in there mind about the line or how it’s business is handled. But all of a sudden when Bape gets bought and BBC now and it is made public, its almost as if people take the news that the whole design team shifted and their sites just uploaded a fresh stockists page of every Macys in the Tri-county area lol. I’m interested to see what happens though (not gonna lie since the news transpired about Bape being sold *IMO*  it seems as if the collections have been getting better, again this is my opinion) I really wonder if that has any connection with the buyout. Anyway I want to see the future of the brand.
