(Editor’s Note: My bad about the pictures, I only had my phone’s camera) Sorry about the delay on posting our personal adventures. We’ve been a tad bit busy, but it’ll be worth it… Trust me. If you frequent our blog (as well as today) you will notice that I am a fan of Theophilus London. So a while back on twitter, a Wens. if im not mistaken, I saw info on Theophilus London having a show on that upcoming Friday at the Brooklyn Museum. I investigated more and saw it was free! Now not too many of my immediate friends know about Theophilus, so I checked up with different ones who might be interested in checking him out. I do find it funny how basically it was a free show and no one could make it, but when I have spend my money for a concert all the people I know are super down to partake in the festivities #noshots #justsayin. One of my old friends from FIT, Laquonia was able to accompany me.
Everything was cool getting to Brooklyn until I arrived at the station. She told me she hadn’t left her apartment yet and wanted me to go where she lives. Mind you, I know nothing of Brooklyn so I was quick to say no, but after giving me directions I found her place easily. (sidenote made more sense to go to her place, we would have had to pass again back by her stop if she came to pick me up; not that any of you honestly even care about that info, but eh). After some drinks at her place (that I feel she made too strong) we went on our way. We arrived at the museum quickly to see a line of complete chaos (basically anyone that went on line kept running off.. it wasn’t mandatory but they wanted people to pay the museum fee. So what do you think we did? Ran off that line! Nah I was put on the spot so I paid 5 bucks. Hey, it was a beautiful museum! We met up with some of ‘Quons friends who also happened to be fans of Theo.

After the formal introductions Laquonia and I started taking pics while her friends went on the line to get drinks (fyi super long line). When we finally decided to get something to drink as well, we cut the line to find ‘Quons friends. I dunno if she noticed, but the entire line looked pissed off lol. We wound up getting some white wine and mingling. It was so swagged out though, it was pretty much a hipster convention… So sicktastic man, mad fresh kids. Met some really cool people there.

Even my sisters boyfriend Patrick mad an appearance. Whats good man?!(thats the picture beneath this sentence lol not homie in the bandanna)

So after we made it to the floor the dj played dope tunes, from rick ross to bone crusher (yes I know the irony). But as the sun started setting. The screen on stage counted down, then in a sparkly “ten gallon” esque hat, Theo arrived and commanded the stage.

He went into a frenzy of songs as the crowd cheered on. Lol I was yelling for him to play “century girl” thats my joint! He didn’t though but as he performed “humdrum town” the crowd including myself seemed to erupt as we chanted along. He threw out some snapback hats at the end of the show and ala a bunch of over hyped people, some stormed the stage. Not in a bad way mind you, he was already leaving.

After the show ‘Quons friends invited us to go grab some drinks and chill out in the LES. We obliged and all went on our way.
We started the lounge hopping at a bar called Skinny’s, then rolled over to this other 2 floor lounge. One of ‘Quons friends helped us cut the super long line. VIP status. This place was awesome. I danced it up with some lovely ladies as well as sipped on a few drinks. Excellent time. It was so good in fact, I seen the bouncer dance a couple times. Yea I know haha. Would have been a perfect night but a storm erupted forcing us to catch a cab back to Brooklyn. Dope night though all in all.
Stay in The Know Folks,
